From a Shared Idea
to a Studio.
Vaylen started as a group of six students at IIT Sri Lanka who shared one conviction: that AI and ML could be used to solve real problems in their communities — not just as academic exercises, but as deployable, impactful solutions.
What began as conversations in lecture halls evolved into a fully-fledged startup. Guided by the mentorship of Creative Software, one of Sri Lanka's most respected technology firms, the team set out to prove that young engineers from Sri Lanka could build world-class intelligent systems.
Our first major undertaking, TransitLK, is a collaboration with the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) — a real-time public transport intelligence platform powered by machine learning. It's just the beginning.
"Vaylen isn't a university project. It's a commitment to building things that last — technology that moves people forward, and a team that never stops learning."
